In an intense moment during the IPL 2025 clash between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on April 13, Karun Nair and Jasprit Bumrah were involved in a heated exchange. While chasing 206, Nair was batting superbly, and the way he played against Bumrah drew a lot of attention.
During that knock, while going for a run, the DC batter unintentionally pushed Bumrah and instantly said sorry as well. However, the MI pacer didn’t seem too happy, as he was seen saying something aggressively to Nair. The DC batter was then seen explaining the whole scenario to MI skipper Hardik Pandya as the matter came to a close. Meanwhile, during the exchange, former MI skipper Rohit Sharma was spotted with a hilarious expression — which has now gone viral on social media among fans.

However, after returning from a long injury layoff, Bumrah has not been in full rhythm in the last two games. Against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, he went wicketless for 29 runs in four overs. Against DC yesterday, he conceded 44 runs for just one wicket. Nair smashed him for three fours and two sixes, and it seemed that didn’t go down well with the premier Indian fast bowler.
Ultimately, MI snatched a narrow 12-run win and registered their second victory of the season. This was also DC’s first loss of the campaign, as Karun Nair’s 40-ball 89 went in vain. During the post-match press conference, Nair said: “I felt confident, I felt like I’m well-prepared to play in the IPL if given the opportunity, so it was all about me preparing the way that I have been all through the season, and waiting for my chance.”
