Schedule, Squads, and Team Management for Men’s 50 Overs National Championship Announced

USA Cricket is excited to be hosting the 2024 edition of the Men’s 50 Over National Championship at the Sepulveda Basin Cricket Fields (Woodley Park), in Van Nuys, California from November 11th-15th.

The USAC Senior Men’s National Championship serves as a crucial platform for identifying and selecting the best talents to represent the national team at the global stage. With each team playing four 50 over matches over a span of four days, the tournament is set to offer ample opportunities for players to showcase their skills and stake their claim for a spot in the national squad. The intense competition and high-stakes matches makes this event a must-watch for cricket enthusiasts and a pivotal moment for aspiring cricketers across the nation.

Format:

The 8 teams participating in the tournament will be divided into 2 groups of 4 each and each team will play all the other teams in the same group during the group stage. The top ranked team in each group will play the championship final on Nov 15th and the remaining teams will play the ranking games, #2 in Group 1 vs #2 in Group 2,  #3 in Group 1 vs #3 in Group 2, #4 in Group 1 vs #4 in Group 2.

Schedule:

The first day of the tournament (Nov 11) has been reserved for fitness tests that will include the Yo Yo test for all the participating players in the National tournament. Nov 12-15, will be the match days.

There are 8 squads of 14 players in each team that have been selected by USAC appointed Zonal Men’s Selection Panel. The teams are as following:

All matches of the National Championship will be streamed online, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to follow the action live.
