Yashasvi Jaiswal shone with the bat as Rajasthan Royals (RR) took on Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the 28th match of IPL 2025 in Jaipur today, on 13 April. He was the top scorer for RR with 75 (47) as RR posted 173/4 in 20 overs. It turned out to be his second fifty this season and after being asked to bat by RCB after the toss, his innings helped RR to set a target of 174 for the RCB batters, thanks to a great innings played by Yashasvi Jaiswal.
The RR openers put on a good partnership of 49 runs from 41 balls for the first wicket, after which RR captain Sanju Samson got out. Then Jaiswal was joined by Riyan Parag, and they added 56 runs from 39 balls. Later, a partnership of 43 runs from 23 balls between Shimron Hetmyer and Dhruv Jurel helped RR post a handsome target.
Yashasvi Jaiswal batted at a strike rate of 159.57 against RCB
Jaiswal opened the innings and took some time to settle in, but his innings took off in the fifth over against Yash Dayal, when he hit a six and a four off the second and third balls of that over. Jaiswal batted with a strike rate of 159.57. His innings included ten fours and two sixes.
Jaiswal had a slow start to this IPL season, but he got his first fifty against Punjab Kings (PBKS), scoring 67 off 45 balls. But, in this game, he never allowed the RCB bowlers to settle. Riyan Parag and Dhruv Jurel also chipped in with scores in the 30s.
