In the previous edition of the World Cup in 2019, Pakistan failed to reach the semi-final. This time, they will aim for a better show. However, Pakistan reached the final during T20 World Cup last year in Australia.
Hence, they are a strong contender to win the tournament. Since the tournament takes place in India, Pakistan will have favorable conditions which are similar to their home country. However, it is to be noted that Pakistan has not played in India since 2016.

Pakistan is yet to announce their squad for the World Cup. However, their squad will be quite similar to the Asia Cup 2023 squad, which they named a few weeks ago.
