USA Cricket has hailed a successful 2024 Men’s National Championship which concluded on November 15th with Team Mid-Atlantic being crowned as National Champions after 16 matches across the 8 teams that involved 112 cricketers from across the country.
Individual Awards went to:
Batter of the Tournament – Aaron Jones
Bowler of the tournament – Stephen Wiig.
Most Valuable Player – Ali Sheikh
The team of match officials and scorers, led by Vijay Mallela, Tarakeswara Rao Janapareddy and Pravin David, ensured that the action on the field was conducted to the highest standards, whilst team managers, coaches and the volunteers were all instrumental in helping create the right environment for the players to express themselves on the field.
There were over 5,900 runs scored, 250 wickets taken and over 140 catches held in a tournament that was keenly contested by all 8 teams. The turf-wickets and facilities on offer at the Woodley Cricket Fields, Van Nuys, California, enhanced the tournament and helped to provide a fantastic experience. USAC sincerely thanks the Southern California Cricket Association (SCCA) and the ground staff led by Rodney Cutting for their continued support, which has been vital to the successful hosting of the tournament.
