Karun Nair for DC vs MI, IPL 2025 (PC: IPL)

Karun Nair has announced his arrival in IPL 2025 with a blistering 40-ball knock of 89 runs for Delhi Capitals in today’s clash against Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi. While chasing a target of  206, DC had a worrying start as Jake Fraser-McGurk got out on a golden duck, Then, as an impact player, he came and stitched a 119-run partnership for the second wicket in 10.1 overs.

The way he played against Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, and Trent Boult, was astonishing to see. Against spin also, he looked sublime with all kinds of shots be it straight down the ground or conventional sweeps. He was well set for his maiden IPL ton but unfortunately, he missed it as Mitchell Santner bowled him out for 89 (40), including 12 fours and five sixes at a strike rate of 222.50.
