England take on Afghanistan in match 13 of the ICC World Cup 2023 on Sunday, October 15. The match starts at 2 pm IST in Delhi and is an uphill task for Afghanistan who are yet to win a World Cup game since the last edition of the World Cup.Â
England started their campaign with a loss against New Zealand. They bounced back brilliantly with a 137-run win over Bangladesh in their next match. Ben Stokes did not play the first two games and his inclusion in the side seems to be a major problem for his team. Stokes is struggling with a hip injury and there is no update as yet whether he will play the next game against Afghanistan.Â
England will be led by Jos Buttler. Ben Stokes has come out of retirement to play the ODI World Cup for his side. Joe Root too is a part of the side as is Harry Brook who was a late entrant into the side. The England batters have shared the responsibility of run-scoring so far in the tournament.Â
